Darth Vader - knowing full well all costumed heroes would be pre-occupied patting each other on the back in San Diego’s Comic-Con - stormed a Long Island branch CHASE bank while brandishing a primitive weapon known as a pistol and demanding cash. The Sith Lord made his escape and is currently wanted by the Alliance (of the Long Island Police Department).

Apparently this follows a series of “odd” robberies in the area as investigators are still searching for a woman that recently robbed retail stores while wearing a cat mask. Um….. can someone PLEASE lend the Long Island PD a Bat-Signal.

The above video was posted online, and an onslaught of questions as a result was sent in to me.

To be clear: There is not, and will never be, additional fees required to subscribe and play Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer.

The video above seems to show a user on what appears to be the Xbox Live Gold Membership renewal page via the Marketplace in the guide, but while in-game in Modern Warfare 2 (which is in error). It does not however, prove a pay-to-play subscription model is in the works for Modern Warfare 2, because no such plan exists for this or any other Call of Duty (including the upcoming Black Ops).

That said, feel free to cease freaking out.

The Resurgence Package DLC for Modern Warfare 2 is available now for download on the PSN store for Playstation 3 in North America and Steam for PC worldwide. It’ll become available for Playstation EU tomorrow. Jump online! Check out the new maps, two new mosh-pit style playlists (Barebones Pro & Barebones Objective Pro) with Killstreak Rewards disabled, as well as soak up some Double XP in celebration of the launch!

New Playlists in Modern Warfare 2

Just uploaded two new playlists to Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer that allow you to play public matches with no Killstreaks in a variety of game modes. This update is currently available on Xbox Live, and will be coming to PC and Playstation 3 alongside the Resurgence Package DLC the week of July 6th. The exact details of each new playlist are below:

Barebones Pro:

Play Team Deathmatch and Free-for-All. All Killstreak rewards are disabled.

Players: 4-8

*Xbox LIVE Party Chat allowed

Objective Barebones Pro:

Play Domination, Demolition, HQ Pro, and Capture the Flag. All Killstreaks rewards are disabled.

Players: 8-12

*Xbox LIVE Party Chat allowed.

E3 Day Two - Cube Hands Edition

Day 2 of E3 did not disappoint with two massive conferences from Nintendo and Sony; bringing with them a ton of announcements and reveals. All that is noteworthy and awesome (to me) has been summarized in a few quick bullet points below:

• Goldeneye 007 RETURNS!! Wii exclusive. Cube hands unite! The joy of shooting guys in the top of their dome with a PP7, while they’re on the crapper, from a vent you can never return to - is back and is better than ever!
• The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - 1:1 Sword motion control!
• New Kid Icarus game launches with new Nintendo 3DS (now with more D’s)
• Killzone 3 + Mortal Kombat + many more = 3D on PS3 (3D FATALITIES!)
• The answer to any problem = @TheKevinButler (proof)
• Portal 2? on PS3! WITH STEAMWORKS?!
• Playstation Move dated, priced, and looks awesome for would-be Sorcerers.
• New Twisted Metal on PS3. Adds aerial combat. Use environment. Looks fun.
